• 2.Select the instruction you want to download.
• 3.Click the “Download PDF” button on the bottom of the page.
• 4.We recommend saving the instructions before opening them.

For newer sets, the 3D builder feature lets you zoom and rotate each step of the instructions as you go. Have you ever wondered how LEGO® bricks stick together and not fall apart? If one of your parents or grandparents still have some of our very first bricks lying around, you’ll discover that they don’t have tubes on the inside and they might not stick together as well as newer pieces.

Godtfred Kirk Kristiansen, the son of our founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, was the first one to discover that our little bricks have a much higher “clutch power” when there are evenly spaced tubes on the inside of each brick. The tubes on the bottom interlock with the studs on top of other bricks. The studs get neatly wedged in between the tubes and the sides of every brick making them stick together firmly.

The clutch power of LEGO® bricks has made it possible to create bigger and bigger sets without them falling apart. LEGO® bricks are in essence a whole construction system with endless possibilities. The only limitation is your imagination!

There’s something almost magical about the process of building your own creations or using thousands and thousands of LEGO® bricks for one of the spectacular display models you can see in our stores, in LEGOLAND® parks, or in many other places.

Did you know that we even have teams that get to design new sets for a living? Most of them started out as big fans (just like you). If you have a great project in mind, you can apply the same rules as our designers. They always try to come up with new, innovative ways of building and create models that will be fun to build and play with!

They begin without any instructions, building and making changes as they go. Once everything lines up and is as sturdy as it can be, they’ll start on the final version. It always takes several tries until they create something they like so if you're building something, don’t be disheartened if it doesn’t quite look like you want it to. After all, practice makes perfect.

If you’d rather not start building right away, you could try a 3D design software. Master Model Builders use software similar to LEGO® Digital Designer (LDD) to create their first designs. If you want to try out LDD, you can download it for free.
